“What makes you happy?’
“My friends. I have a solid group of friends. That’s the most important thing.”
Me: “Tell me what one should do about a love problem.”
Felix: I need more information. I’ve got a REAL problem.”
Me: “Oh, yeah? What is it?’
Felix: “There’s this chick-she keeps telling me she wants to f**k. I say, ‘okay, where?’ She doesn’t tell me where to meet her. This keeps happening. She’s playing games.”
Me: “It sounds like maybe it’s time to move on.”
Felix: “Thanks for the advice.”
“What’s your saddest memory?”
Tim: “Leaving high school; high school was fun. Actually, there’s never a dull moment with me.”
Zheng is 70 years old and moved to NYC 2 years ago from China. Her daughter provided this information as Zheng speaks no English. When I saw Zheng I pointed to my camera to see if she’d be willing to let me take her picture. I love that her immediate response was to smile and give me the peace sign.

Mihela: “Being in love is the most addictive feeling there is.”
Me: “Are you in love now?”
Mihela: “No.”
Me: “What’s your life philosophy?”
Andrew: “That’s a can of worms you don’t want to open right now. We can go out for a drink sometime and have a long discussion about that.”
Yanping: “I was trained in basketball for six years and this helped to shape my personality. It has helped me to learn to overcome obstacles in my life.”
